Earlston Parish Church has occupied a prominent place in the village for many generations, probably at least as far back as the twelfth century. Today its fine Victorian architecture dominates the East End of Earlston, and its comfortable interior welcomes a great diversity of worshipers. Please come and join us, and enjoy your welcome afterwards with a cup of tea or coffee – you’ll find it hard to get away.

Morning worship is normally offered every Sunday at 10:15 (except on special occasions), with Holy Communion at various times of the year.  There are also occasional weekday services.

The Church of Scotland has a deep concern for the wholeness and well-being of each individual. Through its congregations, working together with the Safeguarding Service and statutory agencies, the Church seeks to safeguard the welfare of all people who come into contact with the Church and its services.

The Gospel proclaims that it is the responsibility of everyone within the Church to prevent harm, be it physical, sexual or emotional, and we will always seek to reduce risk.

The Church's commitment to safeguarding remind us that God cares passionately about the welfare and well-being of all people.

On Sunday 24th November the service at 10.15am will be led by Caron Young. Refreshments will be served after the service. All Ages welcome, we have a corner for the younger children to play in. 

ABBEY BRASS CONCERT- Friday 29th November at 7.30pm (Doors open at 7pm). Abbey Brass invites you to an evening of entertainment in Earlston Parish Church, entry by donation at the door. Teas/coffees and biscuits will be served at the interval. Abbey Brass are part of Jedforest Instrumental Band and comprise of young musicians, young at heart starting playing and players returning to music. Come and enjoy the music and find out how you can unleash your inner musician with Abbey Brass.

Blythwood Shoe Box Appeal- Thank you to everyone that filled a shoebox this year. We were able to send 69 filled boxes as well as bags of clothing, knitted items and donations. All very much appreciated.

CHRISTMAS COFFEE MORNING- We are holding a Coffee Morning on Saturday 30th November in the  Church Hall from 10am to 11.30am. Entry is £3 (includes refreshements), entry for children is free. There will be a Cake Stall and Sales Table. The proceeds will go to our chosen Advent Charity which is Tommy's Tomorrow.

COMMUNITY CAFE AND LARDER FOODSHARE- Earlston Community Cafe and Larder Foodshare  is open Wednesday mornings from 10.30am to 12 noon, in the church hall.  Come along for a cup of tea or coffee, with biscuits, and a friendly chat. No charge, but donations are welcome. We have a toddler play area in the main hall, and parents or carers with little ones can make use of the quiet lounge.  Free food is available from the Earlston Community Development Trust Larder Foodshare. This is good food that would otherwise go to waste, and is for anyone to collect. Donations of food are also accepted. For more information contact Gill Yellowlees on 07747757214.

BBC Radio 4, live on Sundays at 8.10 am

We do not currently hold a regular Sunday School; children are always welcome to any service, there is a good selection of resources available in the dedicated area at the front of the sanctuary. Special provision has been made for wheelchairs in the body of the church.  

Above all, there are few aspects of village life in which Earlston Parish Church doesn’t play a prominent part. The Church Newsletter is distributed three times a year to every household in the parish. The annual service to celebrate the commencement of Civic Week has even taken place in the festive marquee in previous years.
